Hi, I’m Sarah, the writer of two books-in-progress, The New Dawn and Sacred Wolves, and the author of five short stories. On this blog I share my thoughts on stories, life, and creative writing.

We all have a life, and I believe our lives are worth something in this world. Whether you want to make an impact with your life, just love stories, or want to learn about creative writing, my goal is to help you learn and make a good difference in the world and show you that you’re not crazy for wanting a purpose in your life.

If you are passionate about living a meaningful life and learning about stories and writing, you’re in the right place.

I typically post once a week. If you don’t want to miss anything, sign up for updates and a free short story, “Golden Beast,” by entering your name and email below. You can unsubscribe at any time.

I was born and raised in the northwest of Washington state, which means I am familiar with rain, gray skies, and evergreen trees. I live in a city near Seattle, and am blessed to look upon a beautiful marina everyday. I am the youngest of five siblings, and the aunt of two of the most adorable kids I have ever known. When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, figure skating, violin, watching movies and shows, and spending time with my family and friends.

My fiction

Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a very active and vivid imagination. Creating stories in my head has always been a favorite pastime. Now this gift has manifested itself in writing.

In writing I can explore new worlds and characters, and at the same time explore questions about the my world and people. Reading is a magnificent conduit for learning about life, and my goal in writing is to be that conduit to my readers, along with giving them an exciting adventure.

I have two novel projects in the works. The New Dawn is a thriller, and Sacred Wolves a fantasy.

How I got into writing

In the year 2015 I had two hip surgeries, and my main focus of being a figure skating athlete was put on hold. I was at a point after my second surgery when I didn’t know how my body would be after recovery. I decided to focus on writing, an interest I had had for years, and I discovered another thing I loved.

I’m also glad to say that I have been recovering well and am back to figure skating.
